Research Lead & Project Manager, POLIS Water Sustainability Project

As Research Lead and Project Manager at the POLIS Water Sustainability Project, Rosie’s work includes doing applied research and communicating new thinking on water governance, law, and policy. She also plays an active role supporting partners on strategic initiatives, convening B.C. water leaders and networks, and engaging with all levels of government and communities to help inform their water programs and priorities.

Over the last decade, Rosie’s work has focused on water issues and is driven by the unique challenges that water poses for decision-making and the opportunities it presents for collaborative, place-based governance.

Rosie completed an MA as part of the Program on Water Governance at the University of British Columbia’s Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability. Her undergraduate studies at McGill and previous work experiences took her from Panama to Baffin Island, with forays into research and outreach on Canadian mining and Indigenous rights in Latin America, and youth and outdoor leadership programming.
