Tim Morris BCFLI

Co-Director, BC Freshwater Legacy Initiative

Tim Morris is the Project Director for the BC Freshwater Legacy Initiative, a funding partnership that invests in watershed governance projects and Indigenous leadership capacity in regions across British Columbia. Tim has spent his career working to protect Canada’s rivers and lakes—as a funder, advocate, and advisor. His current work focuses on supporting partnerships that bring together Indigenous Nations, Crown governments, water users, and local communities to make better decisions for the benefit of water and everything that depends on it. Tim has a Masters of Laws with a focus on water law and rights, but his real education comes from the time he spends with his local home waters – paddling, swimming, or simply listening to the wisdom she generously shares.
