In this role she supports the implementation and administration of watershed security funding for Indigenous-led and co-led projects. Natalie was born and mostly raised on the unceded and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh)and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nations in East Vancouver. In her work and life she aims to create space for relationship building and (un)learning around complex issues towards a more socially and environmentally just world. She has worked in philanthropy for over a decade bringing experience in grantmaking, facilitation and evaluation. Currently she is a faculty member with the Circle on Philanthropy and Aboriginal Peoples in Canada’s Partners in Reciprocity program. Natalie holds a BA in History and French from the University of British Columbia as well as a Masters in Urban Studies and a Certificate in Social Innovation, both from Simon Fraser University.
