Natalie Ord

Program Specialist, Indigenous Watersheds Initiative

Natalie Ord is the Program Specialist for the Indigenous Watersheds Initiative. In this role she supports the implementation and administration of watershed security funding for Indigenous-led and co-led projects. 

Natalie was born and mostly raised on the unceded and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh)and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nations in East Vancouver. In her work and life she aims to create space for relationship building and (un)learning around complex issues towards a more socially and environmentally just world. She has worked in philanthropy for over a decade bringing experience in grantmaking, facilitation and evaluation. Currently she is a faculty member with the Circle on Philanthropy and Aboriginal Peoples in Canada’s Partners in Reciprocity program. Natalie holds a BA in History and French from the University of British Columbia as well as a Masters in Urban Studies and a Certificate in Social Innovation, both from Simon Fraser University.
